Iain and Avril Marr established their antique shop in 1975 in the highland village of Beauly where Iain was born. Iain Marr Antiques is the longest established Antique business in the Highlands of Scotland. Ensuring the business remains an independent family owned business, Sarah, their daughter is now a partner.

The shop was awarded “Best Independent Retailer 2019” by the Inverness Business Awards. The business is the only member of the London & Provincial Antique Dealers Association in the north of Scotland and is a member of The Silver Society, Iain was a founder member of Sotheby’s.com.

Iain Marr Antiques is a purveyor of fine antiques. The shop stocks high quality antique silver, jewellery, paintings, furniture, clocks, militaria, porcelain and glass. The shop specialises in Scottish provincial silver, currently offering silver from Tain, Inverness, Perth, Dundee, Paisley and Aberdeen in their constantly changing stock. The privately sourced items represent a wide span of time from Neolithic flints, Roman coins and Jacobite items to late 20th century ceramics. With precious jewellery including a large selection of rings, silver tableware and flatware of all patterns, Georgian and Victorian items, paintings from miniatures to large oil paintings, pocket watches to grandfather clocks and specialist collectors items, Iain Marr Antiques offers a diverse choice.

Over the years the business has built up trust and a good reputation with clients either wishing to sell or buy.
Written and verbal valuations are undertaken either for client’s own interest, selling purposes, insurance valuation or probate.
